Build the UK's most trusted pipeline of retiring-founder businesses (£500k–£15m turnover) so every cohort of operators has 5+ vetted opportunities ready to walk into.
What you'll own
- Own outbound sourcing across accountants, brokers, trade bodies and Companies House signals
- Build relationships with regional Chambers of Commerce, FSB chapters and IFAs
- Lead first-call qualification with founders considering succession
- Hit a target of 12 qualified opportunities into pipeline per month
- Own the CRM, sourcing dashboards and weekly pipeline review
Must have
- 5+ years in M&A, business brokerage, search-fund sourcing or SME lending
- Demonstrable track record sourcing UK SME deals £500k–£10m
- Empathy for founders — this is succession, not asset stripping
- Right to work in the UK
Nice to have
- Existing network of UK accountants and IFAs
- Experience with proprietary deal sourcing tools (Sourcescrub, Grata, etc.)
Outcomes we'll measure
- By month 3: 30+ live conversations with founders considering exit
- By month 6: First 3 LegacyRelay-matched deals signed
- By month 12: 50+ deal pipeline, 8+ closed transitions
